The SS Georgette wreck is off Redgate Beach, near where I live. I photographed it for years. The 150th anniversary was a reason to put the work in a room, during Margaret River Region Open Studios, 12–27 September 2026.
Four works were installed together, and people used them:
- Captain Godfrey — a historical person you can speak with
- Cuborama — a room of projected image
- Drift — a picture that responds to movement
- Layer Painter — one artwork made by the visitors
They are not proposals. They ran in the same exhibition.

Land, drone and underwater photographs from Calgardup Bay, Redgate Beach and Isaac Rock. The same pictures had to work as prints and as projection.

Historical research
The exhibition needed a record of the ship and the wreck, not only pictures. That included archives, and a trip to the Clyde, where she was built. There is a book as well. The story itself is on the exhibition site.
The room
